We really enjoyed our vacation.  Puerto Morelos seemed to be the Mayberry of Mexico.  It was truly a gem.  Quite a variety of dining options and everyone was so nice.  The beach was great and very empty during the week, a great contrast to the family action on Sunday.  We called Charlie Brown for a snorkel adventure one afternoon, and spent our last day hiking in the botanical garden nearby.  We were amazed at the amount of birds (isbis, egrets, etc..) in the mangroves on the road into town.  We enjoyed our tea on the balcony...lots of fun.  Your book was a real help.  We hope to return someday very soon!!! — Jennifer & Eralp, Ohio

I just wanted to let you know what a fabulous week we had at Playasol.  We weren't at all ambitious, and mostly hung around close to "home".  It was Holy Week so the beach was delightfully busy with Mexican families on holiday, enjoying sun, water, and each other--a lovely carnival atmosphere that added to our enjoyment.  And, how nice it was to be in a place that felt like a home, not a sterile rental.  Although we didn't end up making use of them, it was nice to have all the books and movies etc. around.  And only once before (in Britain, no surprise!) have I rented a place that came complete with a tea cozy!  It's clear that this is a home to you, and we're glad you're willing to share it. — Alison & John, Minnesota

We had a great time. Mario is really a nice guy and the restaurant at his hotel is very good.  We found two new ones that we really liked. Al Chimichura has really good inexpensive pizza and Casa De Pescador(upstairs from El Pirata) was exceptionally good. But at Playasol, we were minorities! Virtually everyone was Canadian and assumed everyone one else was too or wanted to be. Quite a group. And really friendly too. — Mark, Missouri.

It’s been a rough week, trying to settle back into the regular routine, with the rain and the near-freezing temperatures. But we have so many great memories – and photos still to process – so there’s all that to help warm us. Thanks very much – we agreed that your condo is probably the best-located at Playasol. We wanted to say “thanks” for the opportunity to enjoy the warm Mexican weather and the warmth of the people of Puerto Morelos.  We took full advantage of the snorkeling environment and availability as well. Your condo is lovely and provided all the comforts of home. I loved having the washer and dryer available in the condo and the screen door on the back was a blessing for a through breeze on hot days.
